Dykes Riding Motorcycles in the March:

In order to help us keep all the motorcycles organized, safe and looking good, we need everyone’s cooperation.
Please follow these simple guidelines and help us make this the best Dyke March ever.

The ride begins when you get the signal from the beautiful dyke who announces, “Dykes, start your engines!”

Please DO NOT rev your engines before the ride begins, it drowns out the music and speakers in the park.

The ride will start at approximately 7:00 pm.

YOU MUST NOT BE under the influence of drugs or alcohol during the ride. You can be pulled from the route at any Dyke March Staffer’s discretion if you are thought to be under the influence.

PARK YOUR BIKE where you see the signs for Motorcycle Parking, and leave your bike in place until the ride begins, around 8:00 pm.

FOLLOW THESE COMMON SENSE RULES during the ride: stay two abreast, next to the bike you line up with. Keep an average distance of
one bike length from the bike in front of you, try to avoid gaps longer than two bike lengths.

IF YOUR BIKE DIES ON THE ROUTE, move it to the side of the route, out of the way of the rest of the bikes.

NO STUNT RIDING This includes: wheelies, weaving, passing bikes in front, dropping behind, breaking out of line, riding right up to the spectators,
purposely creating gaps, crowding or endangering other bikes nearby, and the passenger must be seated legally in the passenger seat.

Thank you for your cooperation, support and contribution to the Dyke March.

If you want to ride in the SF Pride Parade you must register with the Women’s Motorcycle Contingent!
